There's all this talk over VZW's new V-Cast...maybe it's me but I'm not sure what you get with it...? What can you do if you have V-Cast? And how much does it cost?
You can't just go on and start downloading songs right...? Please help

Vcast is 15$ a month.

if you have a Vcast music phone the Vcast Vpack w/ music includes:

Unlimited basic video clips (98% of the video's are basic or free, some are premium and prices are clearly shown)
Unlimited Vcast music store browsing and previewing (downloading charges are seperate and clearly listed)
Mobile web 2.0 (normally Mobile web is 5$ + airtime)
Unlimited Airtime for Mobile web
Unlimited Airtime for Picture/flix mail
Unlmited Airtime for Get it now Browsing/downloading
Unlimited Airtime for Vcast browsing.
Unlmited Vcast gaming Airtime (alot of the games use airtime)

the Vcast Vpack video only for non vcast music handsets is the same price and includes all the same minus the vcast music store.

Okay...Now i think i have a bettet picture.

So I have the new VX 8100. If I add this Vcast on..I get all those things listed above? SO basically nothing will use airtime of charge extra..? All i would do is browse the web, maybe check songs here and there when I'm bored....Ok...

nothing extra, unless you download something, which will be marked very clearly with a price tag.

the vcast subscription covers airtime and mobile web if thats what you mean, there is no additional charges and there is service in most good sized citys. more areas then sprints service as far as i know.

you can see if there is broadband access and vcast coverage (EVDO) at verizonwireless.com click on plans and then on the left view coverage. then select broadband access and vcast.
