I have, whats left of a motorola v265. I have had it for about 16 months and am due for my free phone in 8 months. The screen basically cracked in half and seems to be beyond repair. My question is what are the chances they let me move the 100 credit you get every 2 yrs up 8 months if i renew for 2 more years ( Zero Percent).

And if I don't get the 100.00 credit now when I buy a new phone will I be entitled to it in 8 months again?

Also was wondering if I should get anything besides the RAZR.. seems to be the best made phone out there.

Zero chance of New Every Two early. And unless you're on a plan that's $59.99 or higher (on the line in question) be prepared for sticker shock when you go to replace it. If it's only 8 mos until you're Ne2 eligible, you might consider finding a replacement on eBay, or from a friend, or perhaps purchasing a $90 refurb (check with Cust Care).

Almost any phone is better than a RAZR. The RAZR is for looks ONLY. It's a POS. The batt life is awful, the internal antenna is very mediocre, the keys suck, and if you like to TXT, you'll absolutely HATE using a RAZR with it's teh gey ITAP predictive text. But if you've already used other Moto's why not? The E815 is superior in almost every way. Or consider the new V325, or the all-around b...

I have a a couple of spare phones...including an LG 8000, and e815, and an audiovox, let me know if you are interested in purchasing a replacement at a reasonable price. Good luck in your search!

$250 and that includes shipping, and it is perfect, less than 2 months old...and I will throw in the car charger and the vzn leather case, and the stereo headset (set is a $60 value)...I think this price is pretty fair because the phone will be discontinued soon when the e817 comes out...let me know what you think and my email is listed below.

What is this e817 you speak of b/c I've searched motorola phscoop howardforums and no luck so since you have this inside info please share.
Also, I beleive $250 is fair they are selling for that on ebay but that does not include shipping or all the extras you mention.

S. Breach,

The e817 is the updated version of the e815. But I think it is gonna have the VZN UI, but they added the USB charging port. I think they are going to gradually phase out the e815 and then bring the new e817.

Motorola V710 or a Nokia 2128> Personally that Nokia phone is a must have becase it has a built in flashlight. Forget mp3 player...forget taking videos or pictures. It has a FLASHLIGHT and FLASHLIGHTS rule!

LG 8100 has a flashlight as well. It's also the flash for the camera, but it will stay on as a flashlight.

Yeah, but it still isn't a Nokia 2128. That phone is off the hook.

I would agree with achiever. I have worked tech support for the orange company since the initial launch of the RAZR. They are a problematic device at best. keypad and display issues abound, not to mention that pesky problem with dust and debri working inbetween the screen and the screen cover. The latest is that a huge batch of them think they are closed when they are open... Notice none of these are CDMA or GSM related problems, just a poorly engineered phone.

I'd stay stay away from the Razr, unless you rarely use your cell phone. Something like the E815 is far superior, though less sexy. Much better battery life, calls are clearer, and much easier to use keypad.

I'm sorry richard I have to disagree with you! I think the razr v3c is an awesome ph. I have a treo 700 and my fiance has a razr she stated yesterday when i was talking to another buddy about the battery life that she has seen no problem w the battery life and from my own experience and I've said this b4 the call clarity on a razr is amazing it almost seems like your talking on a land line as far as the keypad I agree that for a male with large hands (or female I guess) the 815 is way better than the razr but for somebody with small or normal size hands the razr is fine just my opinion.
