vzw phone records for sale?

What is vzw policy and means of securing cell phone records? Are the call logs for sale (financial records are already protected)?

Has there been any cell hone log releases of this type?

Great article. Selling private cellphone records should be a federal crime, an' I hope they bust the punks who do this for a livin'.

Verizon actually spearheaded a lawsuit against this kind of thing, if I remember correctly. They sued 2 companies who were telemarketing their subscribers.

There is/was a lawsuit also lead by VZW to put a few of the "records for sale" people out of business. These companies are committing fraud for profit. I've been tempted to buy my own phone records and see how it goes. As an employee of the company, it seems it would at least be a little more difficult for someone to get in. Also being able to trace the root of the leak would be helpful.

Every so often while at work I will get a fraud alert email stating someone is calling trying to access someone's account and to be weary. So far I've only gotten one call from one of these places trying to get to someone's info. At first they wanted to verify if the line was active. I told them to call the phone and if it rang, it was active. With out th...
