4G LTE and Battery Life

I have a friend of mine that works for Verizon Wireless as a Sales rep and recently upgrade to the new RAZR. He told me last night he doesnt bother with 4G and keeps it turned off for the simple fact that it absolutely destroys battery life. Thoughts?

It's true. MOn-Fri I am in a 4G area. and on the weekends i spend it in a 3g area . Completely different battery life. I can go all day on 3G without a charge and use it the same. 6-7 hrs max on 4G. It truely is a battery killer.

Thx for the prompt feedback. Something to look forward to or in my case not look forward to when i truly get my hands 4G sweetness. I have the battery issue with my Droid X and I have an extended battery
