I want to buy this phone. But...$299.99 is too much. How much do you think it will cost in three months? Six months? Thanks in advance...

Yeah, I feel the same way; just waiting for it to go on sale somewhere. I've had good luck at BB lately, hoping they put it on sale soon.

The HTC Thunderbolt is about nine months old now, and still the same $249.99 as when it launched.

That's strange, the Droid Charge has come down to $199. It's not that dissimilar to the Thunderbolt.

Best Buy has it for $49.99. They had it for $0.00 for Black Friday and the following Saturday. So there is a chance that a Best Buy or Radio Shack might discount it further than Verizon will if I hold out?

Verizone has always charged more for their "premium" smartphones (aka "droids"). They know people will pay it since they are already over paying for the service. I only buy from BB, they never make you deal with Mail in Rebates or any of that nonsense, and their prices are low, plus they price match.
