I know I'm reaching here but on Saturday my Thunderbolt past away. Or should I say the display past away.... I can no longer view any content. The phone itself is working and you can hear the commands being entered but it will not show. I took it to Verizon and they tried a hard re-set by taking the battery out, holding the volume down button and the off button at the same time. The problem is that you need to see the display in order to follow the rest of the instructions.

Again I know Im reaching but does anyone know of a way to fix the display? Thanks for any help that can be offered.

The replacement is on it's way..... I know this sound incredibly silly but Im more upset that I have to start Angry Birds all over again. I play this while I take the train to work and I was on level 7 with 3 stars in every level. Found all the bananas and pineapples too.

So sad.... but thanks for the feedback. I knew I was reaching but gave it the last college try. Happy Halloween to you!!!!

That's one of the big reasons I don't play it. I switch devices too often and would hate to keep starting over. That's no fun. Now that I have an iPad I guess I'm good to go but haven't really played on it yet.

OMG!!! You just gave me an idea. I've been looking to get an iPad. Maybe this is the way to play my game. I'd have a better chance on a tablet at least if my phone breaks again I wont be a** out.

Good feedback, thanks. 😁

if it runs android 2,2, it has an option to move game and content to SD card, would that not keep you from starting over?

I looked in all the settings and there is no way to save this to the SD card, unless I missed something.

Let us know if your new phone works after it arrives. If you have linked your contacts thru Gmail then at least you do not need to reenter them all manually again.

I had one of my prev dumbphones die on me and I had to look at my wife's phone and type them all in again since synching a dead phone with a new phone was not possible. 😁

I received my new phone yesterday but sadly VW did not include a new SIM card and they killed off my old one. So I had to call customer service and they are over nighting me a new SIM card. Rep was really nice and even gave me a $10.00 account credit for the mix up.

So hopefully I'll have my phone working tomorrow.

Thanks everyone for all your feedback.

You must not have a store close to you. Sure, the $10 is nice, but you could have walked in and picked up a SIM card at a corporate Verizon store at no charge, and without having to wait a day to use your phone.

In the past, I passed by this post without responding. Sorry.

There's no amount of factory or hard reset that's going to fix the screen. It's a physical issue, not a software one.
