Verizon Outgoing Mail Server

I remember in the past there was a generic outgoing mail server we could use for phones that would not send email.

I have a networks solutions customer with their own mail url and no matter what we cannot get it to send email. This is using the stock email app on Droid X2.

Any recommendations on email apps (free preferred) or alternate setting would be great. Network Solutions has been no help other than to confirm their settings.

There is no Verizon outgoing mail server. I'm not sure why the network solutions server won't work. I can't think of any reason as wrong as you have all the settings. You might try K9 mail in the market. It's an app I've heard recommended and some people with odd settings have to use it.

We have a local ISP that makes you change some settings not available in the built in mail app so they tell people to use K9 and give their special outgoing mail server for people to use with their phones.

Another idea since the person has to have a Gmail on a Droid is to either have them totally switch to Gmail and have Gmail setup on the website to pull in their mail from Network Solutions, OR you can actually use the Gmail outgoing mail server t...

GMAIL can show the outgoing mail as from that address using their server.
