You're so very welcome. I like you, too.

Your phone,

Incredible

P.S. Forget about that nasty iPhone. You should see where it's been.

Thanks. I'm still upset that the Saygus Vphone turned out to either be a hoax or Verizon suppressed it. I remember how they killed the Audiovox 9900 which was a GREAT phone for its time and had a great camera. Why didn't Verizon carry it? Damn phone lasted FOREVER.

Yes. I'm old school. I once programmed bag phones and car phones. Those were the days.

PhoneCan has put in a request for a demonstration. I've got someone near their corporate offices who can do an interview / write up. Seeing as how it takes them six months to respond to anything, I'm not too hopeful.

It just seems to me that there's a lot more than Verizon roadblocking going on here. Something not right.

Maybe. But in the time it's taken them to fund the manufacture of this thing, other phones on the market have passed it by.

Yeah. When I look at the YouTube videos of the CEO of Saygus I can almost see a pointy red tail behind his head.

The guy I knew who worked in Quality Assurance told me that Audiovox had a falling out with Toshiba, who was making that model. Verizon would have loved to continue selling it, but when they stopped making them, they dropped them to $50 flat (from $150 after $50 rebate) and sold through the initial lot.

In retrospect, we usually refer to that model as the 2008-quality phone that came out in 2004. I'd love to have it in my stash of phones, but I wasn't thoughtful enough to buy one when I had the chance.
