Guess what? The iPhone 4 is... a better proc, ram, camera... Oh yeah... they *ARE* finally adding *SOME* of the stuff that makes Android better.

The iPhone isn't getting a drastic change either. The OS *IS* getting some much needed changes - but that just helps it catch up: NOT surpass.

Why else do you think Apple market share has, at the least, stalled?

Old. Stale. Same. Minor upgrades "Screen, camera, CPU, ram".

*AND* Don't mind the fact that there is *NOTHING* official saying Verizon is getting it. Don't mind that at all.

Verizon will have an iPhone when they are on LTE with AT&T - and the iPhone 6 gets Unlocked/Jail broken.

The iPhone has a long was to go to be the 'greatest phone in the world'.

And heck, even if the iPhone were coming out, you'd still want to get the Incredible now. Give the iPhone two years to catch up.

I agree....I been touting how I wanted the iphone for the longest time but lets face it...Most of the apps on Android market are "free" as opposed to having to pay for everything...Oh and to be honest the iphone is overrated piece of garbage...The Incredible smokes the iphone in almost every category

What is the Incedible? Also the best phone right now is the thunderbolt which comes out this week. Apple has a big problem as they are stuck with a too small 3.5" inch screen and that they are in a catch up mode against the android phones. I can't see what apple can do to beat the thunderbolt.

I wonder if the day is ever going to exist that Apple puts a bigger display in the Iphone. 3.7in, 3.8in, 4in. Apple needs to acknowledge the trends!

While in most cases I think you are right with that statement, I believe that will cause problems with it's sales on VZW. With AT&T, there wasn't much competition with it. No real reason to improve. However, competion on android devices created better and better android phones. With iOS, you get iPhone, but with android you have choices. Camera, physical keyboard, processor, memory, screen size. Sure it sells, but now that it is with VZW, customers will have more options for a cool smartphone.

You havent seen the mock ups? The new iphone 5th generation is rumored to have a bigger screen. Hopefully atleast 4 inches!

You just touched on a very interesting point, in a different way albeit.

Android Phones will get Flash Player 10.1 or whatever version soon. Additionally, when Android 2.2 eventually comes out, the Flash Player will be built in is what I'm hearing from reading online. In the meantime, Adobe Flash Support is being discontinued on the iPhone.

So help me out here.....according to what some of you (i.e., Scott) on this thread are saying, the iPhone is the World's Greatest phone? How??? Especially when you no longer have Flash Support? RAM, Memory, Processor, Camera, etc are now effectively better on the Incredible as well as on the soon to be released for Sprint HTC Evo ...

it's rather the nature of the ads. They are like apps within the app, the ONLY way an ad can be location aware is this new iAd.

and remember, this is only the first version.

Apple does own a patent for ad supported OS that disable key features until the ad is finished.

Ads arn't the issue, but the way he presented these are.. pushing "fully interactive ads" aka, what flash ads were years ago, and most of us have them blocked. and the fact that he is making location aware advertising exclusive through the system.

I haven't paid much attention to the details of the new system (and we all know where the devil lies).

I'll probably not upgrade my 3GS to OS4 until I can know it's AdBlocked then... although hopefully some of the new Androids coming out on AT&T will be worth getting.

Seems like the ads issue is a slow creep over which we as consumers have not control. Used to be you bought a product and could use it but slowly the screen space is taken up with google ads, my email client from ISP is packaged with distracting news and videos and ads. Online news comes with an ad before the video. Can't speed up the video to fast forward it. A google search comes with paid for results on top. Pretty soon the internet and phone time will be as slow and non productive as calling a customer service and having to wade through 10 levels of options. 😕

Well Scottie-I must say that was a very interesting utube. Not being an Apple fan I really had no idea just how the damn thing worked but seeing them head to head was very interesting.
From what I read the new OS on the IPHONE should be a lot of fun. This promises to be a great year for smartphones.
