I was in Walmart and saw the STRAIGHT TALK and WOW!! 😲 1000 min plus 1000 text and some interent for 30 bucks a month?? or inlimited for 45 thats awesome.
My question is what kind of service do you get?they say you get to use Verizons network but what does that mean, whats the catch on this plan? I pretty much use for emails, I was looking at the BB but this rate plan is hard to pass up. Can someone give some info to help with this,TY!!

with straight talk plans, you can currently only use the phones they offer, so a BB will not work.

If i use just for talking and emails only, then BB would be overkill?? How good is the service? im with ATT right now but the rate plans are hard to look away and not consider it.

tracfone customer service is a horror story. Check their forums. Service is limited to native coverage only (which isn't terrible) and the phones you can get.. well, their email will be about as advanced as text messages.

I don't know that I would counsel anyone to walk away from their Blackberry. I'm doing it because I simply cannot afford $250 phone bills anymore. Verizon's Pre-Paid map is robust. Gaining Alltel was a tremendous boon. Besides Tracphone there is another reseller of Verizon called Page Plus which has an Unlimited Talk and Text plan for $39.99. Again, if you can afford to stick with a Blackberry, I would not advise switching.

Unless you want access to Verizon massive 3G network (Contract or Month to Month with Verizon), you can't get that with Straight Talk. Also, BlackBerrys don't work right with Page Plus really. My friend had it and it never worked right so he just switch to Verizon contract/Month To Month. He to came over from AT&T.
