i have just heard from a friend who is very dependable source and VZW employee that the Dragon is going to be available tomorrow in limited quantities. am i the only person to hear this? there was a rumor of either BB Curve2 or Dragon for Black Friday, is it the Dragon. i know it sounds unbelievable, but he knew so many details.

Honestly, that is really difficult for me to believe. That would make it the best kept secret since Mike Vick signing with the Eagles. I would think they would want to hype the phone a bit.

Verizon would not launch a phone on Black Friday without telling the people that work in the stores. With the focus on new data devices, there is a ton of training reps go throught before a new phone is launched.

Do you have any idea how many THOUSANDS of people would return their DROIDs under the return policy to get their hands on a Passion/Dragon/WhateverItIs?
It would be absolutely insane for Verizon to launch such a huge upgrade to it's Android line-up less then 30 days after the initial DROID punch.
Mid-December would be pushing the release date as well. I'm thinking January right after all the return periods on the Holiday purchases are expired. And I don't think they'll advertise at all until launch day or the day after launch, just to minimize DROID and Eris returns in anticipation of the Dragon.

i agree to some extent. it is obviously going to be a more expensive phone. of those thousands of people, only so many will be willing to spend $300-400 for a phone plus the return fee. not to mention some people just want a hard keyboard. oh well, well see.

2. People who mentioned training are correct. That phone will definitely require some training before its released.
3. Wont get released within 30 days of the droid.
4. This phone should drop with 2.0 and sense ui. Last I heard sense wasn't ready for 2.0 devices yet.

All Im saying is that if you are going to make a post like you did, It would be nice to have some info to back it up. Anyone can come in here and spout off, but to make claims about an anticipated phone with no supporting info is just annoying.
