OMG!
I sure hope none of you lose your jobs! Golly, an iPhone? Has that been talked about in these forums yet? Be sure not to tell kayslay34 or uscingulair that you said iPhone in a vzw forum, they don't seem to like that.
Thanks Everyone!

You probably won't see the storm 2 until next year. LG is working on a pda for vzw. It is slated to have a touch screen. As far as the iphone, still just a rumor.

Funny thing is....Verizon is now realing that people want the latest and greatest and the Android or any other Google phone for that matter is better than an iPhone in my opinion. Everyone I know that has one is having second thoughts.

Wonderful news from Verizon...And to think I was going to switch when my contract ran out...Now there is more to look forward to in the forseeable future...BTW...The Android is an absolute sweet phone. Just hope Verizon doesnt strip it down to nothing as they've been known to do on occasion with their BB

I wasn't referring to the iPhone. That's been talked dead. I was talking about the new implant that goes into your head and allows you to see (hallucinate) the person you're talking to when they call you. It also automatically deducts your charges from your bank account whether you like it or not. While it may cause extreme neurological issues, it's great for business. 🙂

Well duh. We have to make our money. The surgery involved with that implant is pretty damn expensive to subsidize.

In regards to the Palm Pre...Sprint has a contract with Palm that they get the exclusive rights to future PalmWebOS phones released in the United States for 6 months. So when the Palm Pre is released on Verizon in February Sprint will already be releasing a follow up Palm Pre that Verizon won't be able to get their hands on until July 2010.

Same goes for the iPhone and AT&T. AT&T will release a new Apple exclusive and the iPhone will be old news at that point.

That leaves Verizon with the Storm which didn't succeed the iPhone's sales and the Pre will far surpass the Storm's sales if many professional predictions are correct.

Oh yeah...Palm also mentioned in a press release that the exclusivity of the Pre may be extended past 6 months based on the sales of the Pre. Sales are expect to surpass the numbers set by Palm. Sprint and Palm are already expecting a complete sell out of devices.

after using an iphone, storm and playing with the pre, palm got it right in the touch department. the size is good, the ui is very responsive and the keyboard helps. and it's based of linux. enough said.

Keyboard sucks on the Pre its already been stated, way too cramped.. Pre looks very thick also.. I think its going to be a bomb, new iPhone coming at same time is going to cause any hype to fizzle...Nice try palm but uuuhhhh NO.

What is really new on the new Iphone? Lemme guess, same shape, video camera.....maybe different color....ummm.....yeah.

The Iphone is by far the coolest device to ever be released. But each year they release a new model. I don't see this years being that much better. And have you read about all of the pissed Iphone owners who have to update every summer.

And the Pre keyboard actually has a nice size and feel to it. I use a Curve, and the Pre that I have played with the last two weeks is definitely comparable.

Just my opinion.

I love your "armchair QB" analysis of the industry, but its just wrong.

1. Sprint is already talking major shortages of the device. And some are saying the shortages are intentional to test out the web OS servers under a lighter load. Not a great start for Sprint.

2. palm is falling fast, they cannot survive with Sprint as their only option, they need verizon, and verizon could use some fresh devices from Palm. And even if the pre is 4-6 months old, it will still sell like hotcakes on big red.

3. You iphone take is absurd. I will personally bet my house that verizon could sell 3-5 million iphone units in 12 months regardless of what model other carriers currently have available. People want the iphone, but they dont want t...

who is talking about att? you don't have to have owned the bold to know that att sucks...hell even Chris knew it sucked before he gave it a try...i doubt he'll deny that. Plus i tried att, they suck and their network is constantly failing. sprint sucks worse.

You're all over the place in other forums talking out of the side of your neck. I've never read an unbiased comment by you. You spend all your time tearing other carriers down no matter what the subject is. It is just annoying, honestly. So yeah if Chris makes a pro-VZW statement it is going to hold more weight with me than any of yours.

They are getting to be like nails on a chalkboard.

Once again, or is it always, I agree with Chris. Sprint is on life support and now they have an exclusive on a phone from a company that most of us thought was dead. However, there is no ME in iPhone. I just want to replace my Curve, so bring me the Berries - and soon, please.

I prolly won't switch to the iphone if it ever comes to big red, but having options is always nice.

And I second the take on the berries. I need some 9630 love.
