great point about rollover! Its the most overrated thing in wireless. I would take fave 5's, my circle, or "In" over rollover.

Roll Over means nothing if you pay for more minutes then you use every month. But then again thats kind of dumb. Where the real benefit is is in the lowest plan where you can easily build a huge bank of minutes you CAN use if you have a high usage month for any reason.
They don't / won't understand... I love it when I don't use my phone much during these months... because when summer comes, 🙂 I'll have plenty of minutes for all those calls I'll make when I'm not going to school. 🙂 By the end of Aug I'll have barely any minutes, and still my plan on that line is only $39. Can anyone on Verizon do the same?

NO they are Drones...They use exactly the same amount of minutes every month. They don't watch minutes becasue they never go over.
SAME GUI, SAME minutes, Mindlessly accepting what corporate advertises.Mindlessly paying for time they don't use. Mindlessly paying for ringtones and pictures...

I actually split my ex-gf's att etf so she could come on verizon so that we could get free calls and texts. It was definitely worth it and rollover would have done nothing for us.
Rollover only functions as a huge benefit when you have extremely erractic phone usage--which majority of people dont.
See my response to avgjoe, I have acknowledged the benefit, I just question the percentage of att customers it truly benefits. Rollover is
You and avgjoe like to twist peoples words and essentially make them mean whatever you want. Read what I write, and respond to what im saying. Not what you think I meant. I've done the thinking for you, so you don't have to.
this is what I wrote to avgjoe....
Im not saying there is no upside to rollover minutes, because there clearly is. I'm just saying that I think the true benefit of rollover is a li...

verizon had "In" before rollover I believe (I could be wrong, so don't get bent out of shape if I am). Either way, IN and Rollover are both benefits to the customer--they just function in different way.

Roll over works the best for those in school who cannot get a lower plan yet do not use all the daytime minutes. But can and so use more daytime minutes in the Summer and on school vacation...

Im not saying there is no upside to rollover minutes, because there clearly is. I'm just saying that I think the true benefit of rollover is a little overstated. I would rather have free texts and calls vs rollover. With rollover, you really only get to keep the minutes you pay for. With IN I could pay for 450 minutes a month, use 5000 minutes of peak usage a month and it would all be free with if its with verizon customers. With rollover you are limited to how many minutes you pay for every month
Thats the value of having free mobile calls and texts (especially ...

I was sent a letter by Verizon offering me the 1,000 or 2,000 extra minutes if I signed a new contract. Shortly afterward, I called to exercise my New Every Two, at which time I asked about also receiving these extra minutes. I was told that if I exercise my New Every Two, then I would not qualify for the 1,000 or 2,000 extra minutes. Conversely, they told me that if I sign a contract for the 1,000 or 2,000 extra minutes, then I would not qualify for the New Every Two. So I ended up exercising my New Every Two and skipping the extra minutes.
That sounds more like it....However if you have a phone you love and will love it for 2 more years the extra minutes is a great deal and yes equal to ...

you can get your 2000 mines. call *611 and request to be transfered to loyalty tomorrow between 8a-9p to get your 2000 mins added.
I don't care about roll over, fave 5 or early nights. If I use airtime, I use it. If I exceed my monthly airtime I have a 300 min amnesty plus 100 additional mins/month for 2 yrs. I have a 2000 min plan with 3 phones on it and use almost all of it every month. I also have a BlackBerry and a wireless card. VZW gets plenty of money from me every month, and I don't mind paying it. The service works ALL the time, wherever I am, and I make money when I'm on the...

I would consider paying for earlier nights for business-type calls, but nothing like my faves, because almost everyone I know is smart enough not to waste their money on a lousy network, so they are already IN. Rollover is also a waste, because I'd rather not pay too much every month "just in case" I go over my minutes. Verizon Wireless will let me backdate my plan if I need to, so roll-over minutes are a joke.
Not for us they aren't.
Most months we only use a couple hundred (if that) M-F daytime minutes. But we pay for 550 at $49 a month. Then there are those months we may use 800 Plus minutes.......Fee STILL $49.00
Roll Over is fantastic for those who only want a $39 plan yet af...

Because you're responsible enough, or (sorry) cheap enough to know the consequences when you do go over. What if you didn't have to? Hmmm, what if?
And isn't that plan only for the hearing impaired? Or can anyone do it
if all you do is text and VERY little talk like the OP said, it may be perfect for them.
