Would any of you given the option pay extra for added perks like, early 6pm nights, My fav plan, rollover, etc?

Which one and why?

For me personally there is nothing that I would pay extra for. What I would like is more of an a la carte choice in service. I would like many options as to monthly allowances because I use very few of my minutes, and the other phone on the family plan uses even less. We may use 100 minutes of the 500 we have a month. I would like to be able to have fewer minutes at a lower price add additional services like texting and VCast and navigation. I don't have all these because of the cost of the plans.

I would consider paying for earlier nights for business-type calls, but nothing like my faves, because almost everyone I know is smart enough not to waste their money on a lousy network, so they are already IN. Rollover is also a waste, because I'd rather not pay too much every month "just in case" I go over my minutes. Verizon Wireless will let me backdate my plan if I need to, so roll-over minutes are a joke.

great point about rollover! Its the most overrated thing in wireless. I would take fave 5's, my circle, or "In" over rollover.

I just dont think its all that its cracked up to be.

Roll Over means nothing if you pay for more minutes then you use every month. But then again thats kind of dumb. Where the real benefit is is in the lowest plan where you can easily build a huge bank of minutes you CAN use if you have a high usage month for any reason.

Don't waste your time explaining rollover to the kids.
They don't / won't understand... I love it when I don't use my phone much during these months... because when summer comes, 🙂 I'll have plenty of minutes for all those calls I'll make when I'm not going to school. 🙂 By the end of Aug I'll have barely any minutes, and still my plan on that line is only $39. Can anyone on Verizon do the same?

NO they are Drones...They use exactly the same amount of minutes every month. They don't watch minutes becasue they never go over.

SAME GUI, SAME minutes, Mindlessly accepting what corporate advertises.Mindlessly paying for time they don't use. Mindlessly paying for ringtones and pictures...

verizon had "In" before rollover I believe (I could be wrong, so don't get bent out of shape if I am). Either way, IN and Rollover are both benefits to the customer--they just function in different way.

I actually split my ex-gf's att etf so she could come on verizon so that we could get free calls and texts. It was definitely worth it and rollover would have done nothing for us.

Rollover only functions as a huge benefit when you have extremely erractic phone usage--which majority of people dont.

Geez everyone offers m2m with their plans, just because verizon calls it 'IN' doesn't make it a perk! Rollover benefits many, just because you refuse to acknowledge it, and rather down play it doesn't make it so!

Everyone does NOT offer free mobile to mobile and verizon was the first to include texts. A lot of companies you have to pay for free mobile to mobile and it still will not include texts.

See my response to avgjoe, I have acknowledged the benefit, I just question the percentage of att customers it truly benefits. Rollover is

You and avgjoe like to twist peoples words and essentially make them mean whatever you want. Read what I write, and respond to what im saying. Not what you think I meant. I've done the thinking for you, so you don't have to.

Roll over works the best for those in school who cannot get a lower plan yet do not use all the daytime minutes. But can and so use more daytime minutes in the Summer and on school vacation...

I never called it a gimmick, I just said that it is most beneficial to those who have erratic usage (and a family sickness would be something I would consider erratic).

Im not saying there is no upside to rollover minutes, because there clearly is. I'm just saying that I think the true benefit of rollover is a little overstated. I would rather have free texts and calls vs rollover. With rollover, you really only get to keep the minutes you pay for. With IN I could pay for 450 minutes a month, use 5000 minutes of peak usage a month and it would all be free with if its with verizon customers. With rollover you are limited to how many minutes you pay for every month

Thats the value of having free mobile calls and texts (especially ...

Anyone thinking about canceling service with VZW to get RollOver minutes should know that they can get 1000 or 2000 mins overage prot (same thing, they sit there till needed) with a new 1yr or 2yr contract renewal. you can combo that with your phone upgrade.

so the next time you get your new every 2 and sign a 2 yr ask for 2000 mins overage prot minutes just incase. they are free and work the same as roll over.

I was sent a letter by Verizon offering me the 1,000 or 2,000 extra minutes if I signed a new contract. Shortly afterward, I called to exercise my New Every Two, at which time I asked about also receiving these extra minutes. I was told that if I exercise my New Every Two, then I would not qualify for the 1,000 or 2,000 extra minutes. Conversely, they told me that if I sign a contract for the 1,000 or 2,000 extra minutes, then I would not qualify for the New Every Two. So I ended up exercising my New Every Two and skipping the extra minutes.

I got a mailer offering me 2400 minutes for a 2 yr renewal. I called for details and still got my NE2 credit and a mail in rebate and advanced device credit - although I had to spend some time negotiating the adv dev credit. Like the last poster said, call Cust Serv and get your 2K mins.
I don't care about roll over, fave 5 or early nights. If I use airtime, I use it. If I exceed my monthly airtime I have a 300 min amnesty plus 100 additional mins/month for 2 yrs. I have a 2000 min plan with 3 phones on it and use almost all of it every month. I also have a BlackBerry and a wireless card. VZW gets plenty of money from me every month, and I don't mind paying it. The service works ALL the time, wherever I am, and I make money when I'm on the...

Not for us they aren't.

Most months we only use a couple hundred (if that) M-F daytime minutes. But we pay for 550 at $49 a month. Then there are those months we may use 800 Plus minutes.......Fee STILL $49.00

Roll Over is fantastic for those who only want a $39 plan yet af...

I would pay extra for 7pm nights or 6pm nights because it's always nice to have the extra minutes at night. As for myFaves, that may be nice too as long as it was a big myFaves like Alltel and not lousy like T-Mobile. All of my family has AT&T now that they took out Dobson so that would do me well. Rollover, however, I would not pay for because I never go over my minutes for the most part.

yeah, but you're essentially paying $20 for 100 minutes...that kinda sucks (but it's still better than paying $60 for 450 min and unl texting)

And isn't that plan only for the hearing impaired? Or can anyone do it

Im not sure, I would call and ask for the $39.99 100 min/unl text plan. You might want to mention something about a plan for people that are hearing impaired. I think that was the main reason for that plan.

Just get a life or actually contribute something of value to this forum besides being an annoying, narrow minded troll.
