what happened to the days of holding down a key and lockin the phone

or heaven forbid actually being able to require a unlock code to get into certain areas of your phone at your choosing like my old Moto 500 for Cingular did

I think Verizon wants to make everything easy so that people who dont have any phone knowledge with phones can work any phone they have .. my issue is make both .. some phones basic for those that "just want a phone" and others that the ppl like all of us who are into phones can have these options

but then you wont have grandma paying 200 for a upgrade to the latest phone .. but think about it .. most of the current cell phone users are pretty savvy when it comes to phones .. the 60 year old who .. just wants...

cant wait for that Sir .. I have had Verizon for so long now I cant even begin to guess and every phone after a while becomes the same as the one before it .. hell I think my first verizon phone was one of the origionals .. thou I do remember having that phone that was the size of a small suitcase and then the Moto flip one that everyone seemed to have lol .. Hell I even had that brick one that looked like a cinderblock you were holding to your ear

thats only on LG's that you can lock it by simply holding down the # key. My enV did it, my 8600 did it, my chocolate did it. MY sliver I had to go throught the menu into security pain in butt!

youd pay more for those restrictions removed but most people would not. Trust me there are alot more people that want it very easy to change phones than to have to relearn a whole new phone os.

well my work pays for my At&T and when I want to "switch" phones all I do is swap out the sim card .. obviously on Verizon we cant do that because its totally different but I cant see how using the phones os would make it harder to swap out a phone .. when all they use is the numbers off the back

maybe it goes deeper but even if I had to bring it to a store to swap phones .. Id still rather have the phones OS than the restrictions

when you swap phones your just swapping phones with the same basic restrictions .. meaning there is nothing new ..some features of the phones capabilities yes .. but everything else is the same .. I went from the Env to the Voyager to the Flipshot back to the Voyager .. and yanno after a week it was all the s...

well to flash it at the store would be a nice option for 20.00 That would be more likely to happen than to have it preloaded.

gunny dont get me wrong .. I love Verizons service .. I get signal when my At&T doesnt .. and I guess maybe im just being picky ... Id rather have service than the best phone in the world having no bars

thats why I have a SE 850 for AT&T and A voyager for VErizon

but yanno I know a sure fire way to have verizon to make a ton of money

MAKE A FREEKIN SIDEKICK .. Ive had every one of those from the Black and White to the color .. the II and the 3 and now the LX which I gave to my son .. Tmobile signal is non existant in my area so I really cant use it .. but to me .. thats the best phone I have EVER used and trust me I have had over 30 phones in my time .. I dont drink I dont gamble I dont waste my money on anything but I wouldnt think...
