I had a customer from RI come in yesterday to complain because his Razr wasn't working. So as I usually do, I removed the battery and saw the DARK red tab. So I said "Here's your problem: you got your phone wet" "No I didn't" "umm...yes you did...see this here. This is the.." "Nope. never got it wet. your wrong. The phone is junk." "Ok sir. Do you understand what this red tab is and why it is here" "Doesn't matter....the phone is junk...I didn't get it wet...and I want a new one..." By this point, I just wanted to junk over the counter and shove the phone down his throat, however, being the professional I am, i kept my cool. Oh yeah..of course he didn't have insurance...he said "No i don't, all insurances (exactly what he said) are scams...

I had a customer yesterday that came in and he wanted to cancel a fifth line on his family share plan...so i looked up his account and i told him that the line was not out of contract until 4/08 so he started getting smart with me...then i realized that it was an onstar number. so i asked his well do you still have the onstar car and he said no. why would you sign a two year contract if you were not planning on keeping the car. and he said that it was just an add on and that he didnt sign a contract. so at this point he was irratating me so i put him on the phone with the onstar department because its not like i could help him anyways. Yeah I learned that the hard way so thats why now when i get a new phone i immediately tape over the red dot both on the phone and on the battery. That saved me cause I drop my phone in a puddle and it totally submerged in water but yet the red indicator stayed dry,
well of course my phone was having problems with dialing out so i took it in and they gave me a new phone with no insurance..

I had to set up a voice mail for a Harry McNutt. 70+ year old man who opted for the name greeting instead of the personal greeting. I dialed his phone, waited for prompts, and then handed him the phone at the time he's suppose to say his name....I guess when you have a bunch of people in line, a couple of CSR's nudging you from behind the counter, and trying to stay professional...it can be pretty funny.

I had a customer call in extremely upset because her service was still suspended. She made a payment yesterday, but we still had not restored her svc. I checked and her svc was restored. I asked what kind of error message she was getting, she said she flips it open and the screen was just black. I told her to turn it on. She started fussing that we should've turned it back on. She was still upset until I convinced her we could not physically turn her phone on or off. Then she started mumbling and hungup.

I wouldn't doubt it. But let me ask. Do you know if you were at a Verizon Wireless Authorized Retailer store or a Verizon wireless corporate store? Because corporate stores have a specific dress code and authorized retailer stores do not. Many people that have poor experiences in Verizon stores do not realize that it is an authorized retailer store and that it is owned by an individual, not Verizon Wireless.

3gp is Third Generation Platform for mobile video and is based on the MP4 format - the format Apple uses for video on the iPod. Chances are the guy heard some piece of a conversation in and AT&T store about the iPhone and then ran over to a VZW store to ask the question. If he's that intent on watching a movie or TV show on a 2 inch screen... well, what can I say?

I disagree with this completely! I know most indirect stores give experiences like this but in our town people come to our store over the direct store. They may have a dress code but they still dont know anything! And we do have a dress code just cause we dont have to wear a black polo shirt everyday! I would put one of my reps up against a corporate rep anyday!

Regarding the ... "you got your phone wet, can't help you red dot"... that thing is a scam in and of itself. I had a razor WHICH I NEVER GOT WET and the sticker turned red, after which all the Verizon store would do is insist I got the phone wet, sorry, no help here...get a new phone. It is frustrating when you've carried the phone since it came out of the box and know you never dropped it in water or ran it in water or got it wet in any way and they suddenly refuse you service and make you out to be a liar. Obviously, those stickers have some problems and apparently turn due to humidity or other reasons than exposure to water.

It's BS!!!

I had an issue similar to yours, I'd never gotten my razr wet and about halfway through my first year the screen started leaking LCD juice from one side.

I know it wasn't water because it never went away and you could also tell that it was semi gelatinous in nature by pressing the screen lightly. Oh and I also never got it wet.

And when the VZW tech took off the battery cover my little red dot was like half pinkish, and she says I can't do anything. I said but the fact that its leaking LCD juice is obviously a mfg defect, to which she replies it got wet, you're a bad person, leave.

So fast forward about four months (apr 07 to early sept 07). ****ty V3m finally dies after only 16 months the screen is either all white or scrambled, s...

One of my friends took a call from some guy whose dog had eaten and "passed" his phone. He wanted a new phone, for free. Of course, we wouldn't exchange it. The thing was, he actually qualified in the upgrade program for a phone for 19.99 with a $20 rebate on it. He just didn't believe he should pay ANYTHING for a new phone, even if he was going to get his money back. It ended up recorded, escalating to my supervisor, and played back for anyone who wanted to listen to it.
