pda mms question?

yeahright

Sep 12, 2007, 2:18 PM
My understanding is this was fixed, however i want to make sure. If i have a pda that is mms capable, lets say the Q(but really want to know with the i760 coming) If you send or receive a picture message and do not subscribe to a data package(just a text and pix pack) do you get charged per kb on that picture or will it just work like a phone would. I know in the past this was an issue but I was under the impression they fixed it so mms would not charge kb's but I would like to double check because i don't beleive everything i hear🙂

Listen people, this is why PS should have stickys.

PDA phones that are MMS enabled do not use KB to send or receive pictures or videos, but you can't have data blocked. If it is showing up as KB on your bill, call CS to fix it because it shouldn't.

cool that is what i thought, i searched and I found people saying both and that is what threw me off. I thought you would be fine, but i found a lot of posts on here stating otherwise, that is why I asked again 🤨

It used to be that way, but they changed it. That's why everybody was confused.

I had the 6700 up until last month and I know that they were charging me kb usage for every pic sent and recieved...But they told me then that they were still trying to get it fixed so I would def do some more research to see if its changed or not...

It is changed, and has been since 12/15 last year. Either your phone was trying to connect to data some other kind of way (wireless sync, IE running in running programs, etc), or it was a billing issue.
