Guys

Most of you know me on the forums.. I have been a VZW Fan and lover since the beginning and I am not leaving but I have to tell you.

I went with one of my guys to the ATT store , he wanted to look at the Curve.. He switched from Sprint and bought the Curve 20 mins later..

So now we are leaving and I am feeling lonely and I kind of want a data device so I take one on a 30 days trial.. Played with it all night tonight and Oh my lord , this thing is beyond sweet..

I dont want to get into all the things it does right but I can tell you battery and Bluetooth and insanely good and those are my biggest issues with my LG 8300,8600 and 8700, I am having issues with all of them.. Love them but hate them 🙂

So when do we get Curve ...

I have been on here with the same argument. I've tried the Curve and love it as well. I'm desperately trying to hold out from leaving Verizon, but I am ver frustrated with them. I am on the net constantly searching for any references to Verizon dropping the Curve sometime soon but no luck!!! Please tell me how AT&T's 30 day trial works? If your not happy what happens?

Hey I agree on the whole petition thing. If they know how most of its customers feel about their selection on handsets, maybe they will do something about it. I know the Curve is an excellent phone, personally I like the treos, but I will sign a petition for this. You got my support.

i dont think a petition with 5-10 "nameless" people from a message board are ganna cut it....stop thinking about it and DO IT. switch to att that is.....the worst gsm provider is still better than the best cdma provider. (prob not true but gsm is definatly better and att has far better selection of pda/smartphones)

For voice, I use Verizon. For Blackberry I use tMobile. I too feel in love with the Curve so I went to AT&T and got one. I purposely did NOT port my tMobile number as I was unsure if this would work for me and didn't any any hassle porting my number back to tMobile, plus, I don't give the number out any way.

I was told that if I returned it within 3 days I would only pay for the pro-rated usage (monthly fee) charge. I could return it within 30 days, but I would apparently pay other (i.e. activation fees) charges.

Sure enough the unit did not work (reception) at my house, so I returned it within 24 hours, no problem.

I liked the Curve a lot, but for me, I prefer the screen on the 8700 series and I still like the trackwheel better tha...

im with you bro...read reviews on the curve last night and I was very impressed. RIM just knows how to get it right. I wish verizon would realize the number of people that would prolly get data if it was cheaper, or if they had a better bundle with Data/Text/Voice.

If you price it right...they will come!

And Craig, does the BB Curve have threaded text messaging? I was curious about that.

I don't like RIM BlackBerrys. They look cool, and when I see one I want it, but their OS is attrocious and they don't do nearly as many things as my Windows Mobile phone.

Cmon VZW listen to this and do it !!! RIM will
If the ATT network works well enough for me between the Iphone and the Curve, VZW might lose me after so so many devoted years 🙂

I don´t think you´re on that boat alone....

I am in the same boat as you...I love verizon but data is way to high and their selection of phones is starting to suck...I have the 6700 and supposedly we are supposed to get the curve and a 6800 and I would like to see and use both so i can buy..But we all know how SLOW Verizon is at getting phones...So I would sign the petition too...

I dont think so..

The VZW guys I know say Pearl II end of year but the Curve is not in the forecast.. I think ATT has a lock on it for 24 months..

This device is truly the best PDA type device on the market.

Windows phones are slow and has overhead that is unness. like your desktop pc's as well.

The BB OS is smooth and fast and battery life is insane. I can surf and mess. all day and make 100s' of phone calls and it keeps going.

Hey did you see the talk time on the Iphone got upped to 8 hours !!!

That article also says that it has GPS, which i have heard rumors of, but i know the ATT version doesnt. I've also heard that the T-Mobile version (coming out in late August) will have the GPS feature, truly making this the ultimate blackberry. The 8830 is all over the net now, so it seems likely that it will exist eventually, although I imagine it wont actually hit the shelves till Q1 or Q2 of next year.

The curve is do to hit sprint in July, so I'm fairly positive that we'll see the Curve on verizon allot sooner than 08.

You're confusing the 8830 and the rumored 8330. 8830 is hitting the sprint shelves july 1st for businesses only, then to the masses on the 15th, about a month after verizon got it. Whoever heard of Sprint getting the hip new phones before verizon? 🤣

🤣 yeah you're right, but still I don't think we'll have to wait until 08 🙂
