I agree. Software has been totally revamped. No more Motorola slow. The Master Volume and ringtone settings have also been simplified.

ok as a tech here would be my question, how long have you had the phone for 2 days, give it a chance, and dont trash a phone as soon as you get it, and if you really dont like it that much keep in mind that you have a 30 day return policy, where you can bring it back to verizon and change it for a different phone as a one time curtesy, you are seriously the first customer i have heard complain about this phone, everyone of my customers who had the razr before and got the maxx said they fell in love with their new phone, bettery quality compaired to the razr v3ms

I fell out of love when I discovered (before the sales rep) that the phone isn't supported for wireless sync and won't allow you to sync to an Outlook calendar w/ a usb/software solution.

So are you saying there's NO way to sync calendar to a computer? That is disappointing. I was thinking this might be a good option for me when I replace my E815, but syncing the calendar (bluetooth or USB, I don't care which) is essential. I can do both with my E815.

Your scenario is the same as mine but I don't think we strong in #'s & likewise don't drive the market.

I have been using Mobile Phone Tools to sync my E815. Like you, calendar sync is critical to me. After many conversations w/ both reps & techs at Vz I am convinced its not an option on the Maxx or the new 8700 (my 2nd choice).

I thing I'm going to ATT/Cing & the V3xx.
BVRP says it is compatible w/ MPT.

Good luck.

I don't believe any of the non keyboard phones have wireless sync, do they? I know the 9900 and U740 do, but then again they have keyboards. People aren't going to do a ton of emailing without all the keys.

Yes.. The phone sucks.. Partly because it is Motorola, and, because it is EV-DO only, and, VZW's EV-DO coverage has alot of blind spots.. VZW said it would work in my area, but, I do not have EV-DO..
