VZW Employees...Get It Now! Questions

i wanna know

Oct 1, 2004, 11:20 PM
I have the new Audiovox CDM-9900. I am trying to get some games on my phone, but don't know how. The reps in my local store are di*ks! Anyway, what is the difference between the 2 different prices listed? Is it as simple as I think it is? Monthly and Unlimited. If I pay the Unlimited now I only pay once and can play as much as I want whenever I want to.?

Also, does Verizon offer any Mp3 "lyrics" Ringers? If so, what phone do I need and how do I go about getting those instead of the "music" ringers? 😕

Thank you for any help I can get! 😁

You can buy games through the Get it Now app on the phone. Yup, ulmt is a 1 time fee. Actual song lyrics can be purchased through sony music mobile in get it now. Go to vzw.com to check and see if the 9900 has this app available for it.

Subscription is going to bill you monthly until you delete the application from the phone. Remember, that's "delete" and not "disable" which just frees up some room but leaves the application active.

For real music tones, Modtones DJ is the current application we support, I do not believe it is yet available for the 9900.

The Verizon Website doesn't list anything for the 9900 yet. But I know what you're talking about. If I go through it on my phone will it show what I can download? If I use the Get It Now during my "Night Minutes" will it charge me night minutes or regular peek minutes?

Why did VZW remove the GET IT NOW feature from the prepaid plans even though it is featured in their new brochures? 😡

The brochures are more than likely old if Get it Now is not available but the brochures say it is.

www.freeup.com shows that Get It Now is still available on the prepay phones; however, on vzw.com the prepay service page doesnt mention anything about Get it Now. One thing I do know is that FreeUp has been phased out and now its called Pay as You Go, something of that sort. The LG 3200pp is EMS capable, therefore you can more than likely go to vtext.com and get ringtones/pics sent to your phone.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Yes, this is correct. They removed GIN from the PAYG phones because you could download whatever you wanted for free, and VZW got stuck with the bill. Oops.

VZW got stuck with the bill? They sound like they're paying when it's actually the customer paying for it FROM THE PREPAY ACCOUNT. That's the purpose of it. 😡
