There seems to be limited information on this subject, but have I read correctly that someone must Manually choose to update their location for Buddy Beacon to show where they are at?

If so this means that using this phone is virtually useless for parents to watch out for their children or as a backup to locate them in an emergency.

IF this is the case, Helio pales in comparison to a simple Disney phone where you can pick the exact child you want to locate down to a 10 yard radius.

I was very excited about Helio until I read several forums about the odd Buddy Beacon limitation.

Any input????
