Wake up call vs Alarm

I just got my Helio Drift 2 days ago. I set my alarm on my phone for M-F as a backup to my alarm clock. Well, when I went to set the alarm on my Helio I found that there is a "Wake-up Call" as well as an "Alarm" option.

What is the difference between the 2? They seem to be the same feature just different on how you set them up. It's really not that big of a deal, I am just wondering what, if any, the differences are so I can use them appropriately if one has an advantage over the other.

Thanks..

if you turn off your helio device, you will actually hear the wake up call, where as the alarm would not work.

Ahh, ok that makes sense. Makes more sense than the answer I got from the Helio rep of "They make different sounds." Lol... yeah, she actually said that. I was thinking "ohhh...k"

Thanks
