METRO --> AMP'D... questions

I plan on moving out of my MetroPCS area sometime in the fall, but i get real anxious so I start to research national carriers w/o contracts (had Sprint 7 years, and I won't do that mess again). Plus it'd be nice to travel and not be charged 49 cents a min. For those who don't know about Metro, it's the same as Cricket.. unlimited mins, text, picturemail, web for $50/mo.

Anyway, it's a toss up between Amp'd and T-Mobile for me. I like Amp'd because of the 3G and such, but am concerned about the customer service that I hear so much about on here. I had some problems like that with Sprint, so I just went right over their head to the BBB. Oh, thinking about the Endthe Boredom Hybrid plan.

T-Mobile is owned by almost all my friends, ...

If you left Amp'd and T-Mo are your 2 options, I'd choose T-Mo due to Amp'd Mobile's lack of poor customer service. Just my 2 cents. 😉

If your going with pre-paid i wouldn't go with either if you want what your looking for.

Amp does have 3G, but the keyword is prepaid, so don't expect much for your buck

Tmo does have a decent prepaid coverage and the n95 is nice, but again there isn't any unlimited internet for it. and your ganna pay alot more for it and only use maybe half the features

😁 Come on now guy's you know Amp'd is not as bad as you guys are making it out to be. yeah you have a little bit of a wait time but so DOES EVERYONE ELSE. WE HAVE VERIZON'S NETWORK. so if you compare to everyone else, tmobile doesnt have the greatest coverage and neither does sprint AND metro. and if you talk about there customer service.... well lets compare
Tmobile- amazing customer service- horrible coverage
Sprint/nextel- broken up coverage and horrible customer serivce and your bill is F**ked up every month.
ATT/cingular- Bad customer service, good coverage, expensive plans.
Verizon- Decent customer service, THE BEST COVERAGE NATIONWIDE. ( you can't disagree)
AMP'D Mobile- Verizon's coverage plus extreme entertainment, slow custo...

If you get pre-paid your going to be paying a lot more than you would with a plan so the bang for your buck isnt going to be that great.. but if u get a contrat you can get everything you want and pay less.. amp'd's contract term is 18months not that bad... T-mobile will do a 1 year contract.. you just might not get the greatest of phone pricing but if you plan on buying your own handset any way get the "free" clunker and get tmobile... the service is pretty good... and cust service is phenominal... and those who say cust service doesnt matter are very short sighted because when your having a problem with bill or anything the last thing you want to do is wait 45min to speak to someone and play the transfer game there after.

I understand you're saying and all, but with my messed up score (thanks Sprint) I'm trying to keep from paying deposits that I know I'll be paying for. I dunno bout you, but I need to save money right about now.

After talking to a number of people, I've decided to join the Amp'd movement. My Nokia N90 will have to wait... or I'll wait until it gets to a reasonable price... $1000?!?! No thank u.
