Tracfone is really expensive. And they need more advanced phones. It's really good for younger kids though. Just buy a card and have minutes. I personally just don't like it. Oh well. I just really wanted to post. Lol.

No I dont...lol

I hada tracphone customer come in day before yesterday. Apparently he is paying 29.99 for 100 minutes. He wanted to know the cheapest plan I could offer. So I said for 29.99 you can get 300 minutes which is 200 more then what you have, he said no its ok...Puzzled as I am offering him something better, I then said net10 is a new service from tracphone which you can get 100 minutes which you pay 29..9 for u can get with net10 for 10 dollars. He thought about it for 10 seconds then said "naw, I will stick with trac." Some ppl just need to stay with prepaid...lol

It's only a better deal IF someone uses their cellphone a lot. For the person who only occasionally uses one, it's hard to beat $8.00 per month for cellular service!

ok two year contract. Lets see it will cost him 60.00 for that extra 200 min every month. Times that by 24 which is $1,440. Average ETF fee 200.00. Hmmmm your any one that does not sit down and can figure that out is well you figure it out.

I think something was lost in translation. Which are you saying is the better deal? Tracfone or the two year contract? I didn't read anything about paying out $60 extra.

I have ATT and an analog phone that will soon be out of support. I pay $30/mon for 250 min. They want a 2 yr contract for their minimum service at $40/mon. I don't use 100 min./mon. now. Which do you say is the better deal for me? Tracfone or ATT?

I would never go with tracfone and definitely not for just a savings of 10 a month!!!

... Tracfone is great for very low-use users like myself but the more time you burn the less cost effective it is. Another big plus for Tracfone is that their phones will roam onto other networks that use the same technology. Many others like Cingular K I C and Net10 will not roam and that is not good for a emergency use cell.
As long as Tracfone sells phones that use CDMA technology(Verizon, Alltel) I will most probably have one.

I have used a few tracfones in the past when I didn't want to be easily tracked down, as they can be activated with a fake name and address.

I carry one now because my contracted Sprint phone finds a lot of dead spots, whereas Tracfone does not. Once my Sprint contract is up, I'll be all Tracfone.

Expensive? If you buy and use the minutes in quantity, it is a dime per minute. The youngsters here hate Tracfone because the phones don't have music players, video players, and the other flashy doo dads. If all you want is a phone, it's not a bad deal, and it uses all the other networks' signals.

Why don't you go to a carrier? If you're worried about contracts, there's cricKet (that's if cricKet is in your market).
