How long til you lose your number?

If I let my minutes expire, how long til I really lose my number? I know in the past, they "extend" it for you then several times they try to get you to renew, but I want to change the number. I'm in no hurry, as I have 2 other tracfones 😁 But how long until I actually lose the number? Thanks!

You might use it when you feel better
When you're home

i will stop myself making jokes about the fact that you not only have one TF but you have 3... I mean.... CMON!!!

Now we started keeping the number for a while even if the phone is deactivated so you can just call and get the number changed, or reactivate it and ask to get a different number when they ask u if u want to keep it or not..... easy as pie... piece of cake and all that...

3 Tracfones... well I've seen worse... 🙄

It's true! Don't have to worry whether I'll have analog roaming either. It's ALL analog! My i560 often gets jealous when out in the boonies.

I keep mine for boonie coverage. Yeah, in the future, they won't work. By then, CDMA and GSM will be in a lot more of the same places where only analog worked.

I keep mine in the car for emergencies (911 calls are free).

yes, they are free... but u should never use a prepaid TF as an emergency phone. its not secure. it says so in the terms and conditions even!

I would only use it if I was someplace I couldn't get a signal on my regular cell. Then, depending on the situation, I might use a payphone instead.

My truck has a C.B., but when I go out with my family, we take the wife's car, and this is the one with the Nokia. It's rare when we encounter a situation where our regular cellphones don't work, but there are places, and it would be terrible to be trapped under a car with no way to call for help!

Of course... I just dont rely on them, although I guess in a situation as you describe its ok.
