i dont see you posting that in some other MVNO forum, i think ur posting this just because boost mobile caters to the hip-hop demographic and you will automatically stereotype them as gangsters. simply ignorant, if boost mobile didnt cater to the hip-hop demographic, im pretty sure u wouldnt had post that at all, i bet you wouldnt. boost mobile is for anyone who wants boost mobile service

The hip-hop culture is the same as the gangster culture. The gangster types run the hip hop labels and many or its stars act like gangsters. Not to mention most of the songs are about violence, raping women and killing cops. So yes its the same thing.

u dont know a damn thing about hip-hop there are many great hip-hop artists that are doing great things for people, have u heard of common, kanye west, t.i, lil weezy and others who have contributed towards certain causes, not to mention ludacris and david banner.

most pple know that hip-hop/rap artists actions is simply ACTING, they are simply marketing themselves and their music, most of them dont even act like that 24/7 plus many of them have families and do actually have a brain,

😲

Stereotyping is so easy, don't forget about Big Pun, Biggie and the master 2pac not only he has been the greatest of hip hop, but his poesy even has a class at UCLA in Berkeley were they study Pac's philosophy (I would like to take that class).

Sure "commercial" rappers talk about what sells, but everything is a state of mind so before you start stereotyping & talking nonsense be more informed, and you need to live in a "culture" before you speak about it.

Credit is not an issue, Boost is for people who do want to pay for what they really use, and don't want to fatten up the wallets of the executives that they know they'll be getting your money it does not matter if you use all the services or not, and besides having a monthly ...

Well unfortunately most of the listeners are too stupid to get the supposed sarcasm. And seriously, how many recovering drug addicts (with the exception of Scott Wyland) do you know that go out and sing about how cool drugs are?

The point is if you're going to take a stand on something don't be a hypocrite when you're on the mic. It's aggravating as hell to see these stupid little kids buying up the rap albums because they want to live vicariously through these morons' lyrics about bangin' hoes and throwin' bows.

i agree, its the person's responsibilty what they do, not music, pple always wanna blame something else instead of the person, just because something is predominatly black or hip-hop, the words violence gets thrown into the mix, and most of these artists dont really do that, its an act i do agree that pple are dumb enough to emulate these pple but these pple are selling their image and its all about money, i dont support what these mainstream hip-hop artists do but there are a lot of good pple in hip-hop and if pple would get rid of their prejudices they would see that.

No kidding! Really, all a rapper (or any other music artist for that matter) is just someone expressing themselves through the arts. Saying a rapper is endorsing violence or drugs is like saying an actor that plays a criminal advocates murder. They are PERFOREMRS meaning they PERFORM or act. Just because that's what the public eye sees doesn't mean they are all like that. Personally, I don't listen to a whole lot of hip hop, but even I am not naive enough to think that they all are violent, angry, murdering crackheads.

I have to differ. Music is allot stronger then movies when it comes to young people. Kids can say thats a movie however when they see a video of a rapper they see money girls and so on. It blurs with reality. And you are not everyone. Some are in fact more naive then others.

My husband and I both enjoy hip-hop music, but neither of us could be called "gangster types." Or even wannabe gangsters. My husband is in IT at an insurance company, and I do tech in a call center, trying to finish my degree to begin teaching. We have a 2k sq foot 2 story home in a nice neighborhood. We have 2 children. Neither of us does, or have done, any drugs, and we rarely (and by rarely I mean less than once a mo) drink. We are n...

i think if boost was marketed towards more white people instead of it being marketed towards the urban minority community, the person wouldnt had posted that in the first problem because apparently he didnt post this in virgin mobile or ampd mobile's forum, some pple are bigots plain and simple and he can say he "has black friends" till his face turns blue it wont change my opinion that he's a bigot, boost is doing a great job marketing to the younger generation

the only problem i have with boost is not the people that use it (whatever color or creed they might be) or rap and hiphop. The commercials are such a turn off why would anybody be happy to be portrayed like that, the fact that there are actually people in the world that act the way they do in the commercial is disturbing.

I was reading a few posts, and some peeps are right. ***gs like Rich Boy and all those guys brag about money money money. The ol skool guys like Pac and back when Snoop Dogg was Snoop Doggy Dogg. I was just listening to Tupacs song "Keep Ya Head Up" if you listen to his lyrics, that man is a true master. Changes...Dear mama, better dayz, life goes on, Baby Dont Cry...the mans an artist. I hate that "Pacs Life" song where T.I. compares himself to Pac. What an idiot...T.I. has a few fresh beats, but he has a long climb to reach Pacs level in the art of true Rap/Hip-Hop whateverz you wanna call it. Well, just my 2 cents 😛
