because boost is not sold in that area (corp. wise). in my area (717) boost is not sold (corporate wise)but hood stores have them (dollars stores, etc.) and we have to get (215) or (44😎 or another philly area code. because there are no corp stores or corp. sales in my area.

I'm not certain where the 716 area code is but I suspect it falls into a Nextel Partners region ???

Go to www.sprint.com > choose wireless under the "personal" column > go to Plans & Coverage under Nextel > add your area code and see if it pops up as a Nextel Partners area.

You will have good to excellent service in a Nextel Partners area but you will not be able to get a local area code and exchange.

So that means your local inbound calls may end up as Long Distance for the caller...You will NEVER be charged any LD or Roaming but we don't have access to local numbers and we have no control over what local landline carriers charge...Jess
