Boost Web Content?

Can the content available via the Boost Wireless Web feature be modified? Is there anyway to gain access to the Nextel content?

As you know, Boost targets the hip-hop demographic. Hence, no News links. They've got Sports, Music, Games etc.

I recently gave a Boost phone to my 75 year old dad. I don't see him chirpin w/his homies, often. But, I think he might want to ball scores and CNN news etc.

Yo' Dude....His homies are ace out then !!!lol lol...If he has the Wireless Web feature on the account he can access outside sites...ESPN, CBS, any other site that has WAP ability...
The WW is .20 a day whether he uses it or not, so it will cost approx. $6 a month. But if he has a solid interest it may be worth it. I also mentioned (in an earlier posting) an option called "Opera" that is a web browser you can dwnld for free, at this point anyway, and it gives you a lot of freedom to surf....All of this is really out of my league, but if your med-high on tech savvy you can probably set it up for him to go directly to specific sites...Jess

Thanks, Jess. I was able to access WAP pages not already presented on the Boost Web. However, I was not able to get any of them to bookmark. Each time I clicked "Mark," while on a page, I got some error indicating the server wasn't capable of this feature. Didn't really understand that. Can you explain or tell me if I'm doing something wrong. BTW, this is a I450

I am very sorry to admit this but we cannot bookmark a page on the Boost handset.

I have never been able to get a reasonable answer as to why. The Motorola phone has the feature but it is not enabled within Boost....

Sorry, Jess

Wow. That kinda sucks. Cause some of the pages are pretty "triple tap" intensive. Since the Boost Web content does not include News, Weather etc, it would be good to be able to access other pages, w/o a ton of tapping.

Any good ideas???

It does....But the only suggestion I can offer is the "Opera" browser option I mention in an earlier posting about Wireless Web content...here is the link to another wireless forum that has some real sharp wireless users...

You do need to have some basic software knowledge..it is above my level but the chat about this Opera is really positive and it allows bookmarking as well as a higher level of visual access....don't ask me how. If it is as good as they say though, I'm sure it will cost at some point..Let me know what you think and how it turns out....Jess
