Re: Premium plan?

That is a great question and I really would like to get a solid forum going on this, so we can clear up ANY and ALL of the confusion about the Boost Premium Plan.

I have been working on the BPP since the test market launch and I think it is a great option for those people willing to use a Credit card or Debit card to pay there phone bill with...If the theory of keeping money in a bank account or on a pre-pay debit card is not your cup of tea, than the BPP isn't either....simple as that !

SO HERE GOES.....

The Boost Premium Plan (BPP) is designed to make it easier and cheaper to pay for the BoostMobile package. It is still a pre-paid plan, but it is paid for from your credit card or debit card once a month, $49.99
This $49.99 gives you 200 Daytime cellular minutes for 30 day's. Unlimited, Free Cellular on Nights and Weekends...Nights start at 9pm and go till 7am, Weekends start at 9pm Friday night and go all the way through the weekends till 7am Monday morning.
The WalkieTalkie (DC) is FREE for the entire month, day and night! !
Text Messages are FREE, both inbound and outbound for the entire month!!
Unlimited Access 24-7 to the Wireless Web for the full 30 day's....

Ok...that is the large picture, lets get into the parts that seem to be confusing and are the bane of my exisitence.....

While this is a "monthly" plan there are still things available from BoostMobile that are not covered by the $49.99 that you pay each month, and you are REQUIRED to carry a balance of funds on the account to cover any of these items you may or may not chose to buy. Ringtones, wallpapers, games, Celebrity Voice Mails, Boost Messenger, Boost Hookt....none of these are covered by the 49.99, so you have to have money to pay for 'em.
And if you go over your 200 daytime minutes the cost to use the cellular side of the phones is .10 a minute, this has to be covered by some method of payment...

This "extra" money is called the "Low Credit Balance", and the minimum needed in this balance is $5.01, and if you don't have $5.01 on the account your Credit card/ Debit card will automatically recharge it for $15.00...

Ok...this is where most people start falling out of the boat and I will do my best to explain how, why and when this whole "Low Balance Credit" thing will effect you.

Lets say you have just bought a new Boost handset, and it came with a Ten dollar credit for activating it, you have added the Boost Premium Plan to your account and the whloe thing is working great.....
You decide you want to buy a RingTone...1.99 comes straight off that $10.00 that came with the phone....
Three weeks into you first 30 days on the BPP and you have already used up all of the 200 minutes that came with the 49.99 access fee...if you want to use the cellular phone during the daytime hours you will now be charged .10 a minute from the remaining $8.01 still on the account...
Now remember, this plan is all set up around an "automatic" system that does not require any work from you as long as there is money on the Credit Card/Debit Card ...
On the BPP you can no longer use the standard reboost cards you use to need to add more minutes to your phone, so there HAS to be a way to ADD more daytime minutes to your Boost Phone if you need more than the 200. And the Boost Premium plan has a built in method to add more minutes (money) when you need them.

Lets go back to the sceneario we were working on before...you are now being charged .10 out of those funds that came with the phone ($10) for your cellular use during the week days and you have worked that money down to $5.10...as soon as you make a call during the daytime you will go below that $5.01 balance, as soon as that happens the Boost Premium system goes to your Credit Card and transfers $15.00 to your balance...this gives you another 150 minutes til the end of your month. You can take advantage of this "auto Re-Charge" feature up to 3 times in a 28 day period.

Now if you don't go over your 200 minutes or you never buy anything than the money on the "Low Balance credit" will never be needed and the whole $15 recharge thing will never affect you....simple!

That is the BOOST PREMIUM PLAN...it is NOT simple but it is a whole lot less confusing than a monthly contract. It does require the customer be paying attention to his account and how it works...some responsibility is expected of the client to make this work, but we have tried very hard to lower that expectation and it is nowhere near as easy to understand in comparision to the Pay-As-You-Go plan. But money is hard enough to come by, and if I have a way to pay HALF the amount I was paying I will try and figure a way to take advantage of that option.
We try and explain as much about the BPP as we can to every single customer before you ever get onto the plan and it is required you read the Terms & Conditions before you can even get onto the plan, but I think we can do a better job.
I'm tired..so I will address all of the Bell's & Hoops you have to blow and jump through to get onto the BPP later...if I have missed anything I know I can count on you guy's to call me on it !!!!! Lol Lol
See Ya', Jess
