i870 for BoostMobile HELP JESS!!
If I have an i870 that was originally purchased for a Nextal account, can I switch it to my Boost Mobile number. I currently have an i285 with Boost.

If the phone ask for a special code, you need to wait till it says "enter special code now" and powercycle the phone off and back on...this should cause the handset to recognize the Sim is usable and off you go !!!

If you are talking about polacing your boost mobile sim into the 870, you should not have any problems. All boost sims are compatible with Nextel phones, but not the other way around. No be warned, that once you do this that you will not be getting the full use out of your phone until you call customer care and have your sim provisioned for MMS etc. Like wise if the phone that you are using is on Nextels blacklist you will need to jump through hoops in order to get it off the black list.

☹️ Be aware I put my sims card into a I-870 and it worked for about a month, then was having problems replying to texts that was sent to my phone. I called customer care about the problem they told me to put in a 6 digit code which was all 0's. I did then turn my phone off like was told. Now I'm getting an error!! The phone worked perfectly and now its locked I have to take it back to Nextel to have them unlock it for me. Boost customer care told me that my sims card is bad and that i would have to buy a new one. The bad thing is that my sims card still works in my old phone i bought when i decided to go with Boost.
