Ok I heard about the New Boost Premium Plan. My question is....since it has unlimited internet on the phone...can you purchase a data connect kit for any of the boost phones and use the phone as a modem for your laptop/home pc utilizing the unlimited internet w/ the boost premium plan. Any accurate information on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! 🙂

Theoretically Yes !!

But it is always important to remember this is a "wireless" system and is inherently incapable of the same connectivity of a hard wired or a WiFi type service...unfortunately you may experience some issues as far as keeping the signal strong and viable for a wireless modem set-up.
I have yet to field any questions or issues with such a set-up and I am sure there is someone out there that can give a more definative answer, but I would lean toward scepticism on this issue....sorry.
The best thing about the Boost Premium Plan is the simple fact that it is NOT a contract service, if it does not fit your needs or lifestyle you simply go back to the pay-as-you-go package...so try it!

Actually, Boost Mobile does not offer wireless modem capabilities. The Wireless Web service that is included in the Boost Premium Plan is just Web surfing via the WAP browser on the handsets. Connecting the Nextel wireless modem data cables will not work.

Chuw was exactly on the mark....the difference is that with a Nextel package you can purchase a Data package that with the afore mentioned cables you can use your handset as a modem...it is a very ponderous connection but it is possible. They have a package that would upgrade the speed but it requires a wireless modem attached to the laptop / PC and would only be using the Nextel service as a data only option.

The Boost Premium Plan we offer is an unlimited browser service that allows the customer to enjoy access to sites that are compatible with the abilities of your specific handset (software).
