Motorola i776

This phone works great on Boost Mobile/Nextel!

The phone does what it's suppose too...it's not a smartphone...but it's a great one for making calls, direct connect and messaging...you can do some basic internet browsing...it's not a iphone or windows phone...

It has many more pros than cons...it's for basic communications...it's not a music player or camera...it's a phone...

What has been your real-world experience with time lag in text messaging, both sent texts getting to the recipient and their messages getting back to your phone?

Are you with Boos or Nextel?

First I'm using Boost I was with Nextel...on the average text messages turn around is 2-4 minutes and the longest about 15 minutes...I know people who have experienced hours...but I believe it has to do with the area a person is in...I don't have any dropped calls and reception is quite good...when I was with Nextel it was pretty much the same...as with all carriers some areas are better than others...headsets perform differently some better than others...direct connect has always been very good...all carriers have their problems and Boost is no exception...price is less than others and why should I pay more for Nextel for the same service...Sprint's Qchat is not as Iden so why pay more for it...I'm sure living in a major market helps quite ...

I wish Sprint-Nextel would go ahead and implement the already-existing "Push To Smart Replies" that Motorola developed back in 2004-2005 time frame. It sends short text messages over DC, so it's whopping fast, just a text version of regular voice DC.

The text messages I receive on my handset as replies to my NextMail outgoing voice messages are lightning fast. In general, from the time I let go of the PTT button at the end of my voice message, it is in the recipient's email inbox within 15 seconds, and in general when the recipient replies and hits the send/receive button in their email program, the text reply has hit my phone within 15 seconds (and none of that downloading crap like regular N...
