Port your number to another prepaid service, wait a day, then port it to Boost.

You could use a postpaid service to do the same thing, but that involves a credit inquiry. If you aren't going to really use the service then it's not worth having the inquiry over since you can use a prepaid alternative.

you CAN port your number to boostmobile.

forget sprint/nextel! just call boosmobile directly and tell them you want to "Migrate" you sprint/nextel number to boostmobile.

note that is NOT a "port" because it's the same provider

IF you want to go from CDMA Sprint to iDEN Boostmobile do as suggested by some - port to a prepaid and THEN port to Boost.

I have listed below the porting scenarios that Boost support from the Sprint side of the business as I have received many questions regarding this. Please remember that porting from other carriers is supported and is business as usual. Hopefully this will clear up some of the confusion.

Porting scenarios that we support:

• Sprint CDMA to Boost CDMA
• Sprint IDEN ...

yes you can, if you have CDMA you call sprint ask them to Dummy your phone to a iden device, unint a IMEI and then call boost (with a boost phone in hand) and then request a migration. we do it all the time
