Hate to say it ,but its perfectly legal, its the same thing they did to old At&t wireless customers. They would allow them to keep their plans but would not allow to upgrade unless they switched to cingular. Legally all that is required is to honor the contract in place and nothing more. By taking away sim cards and not allowing upgrades on the old At&t wireless system , they effectively forced people to change over by legal means.
