No offense but this is all the forum has been talking about.....So why would you start a whole new topic when there are 20 other topics that are the same?

I worked for Cingular/AT&T for a year and a half before I moved cross country. Now, I work for a Cellular One dealer. There are two ways this can go. First, AT&T leaves Cell One as its own brand and everyone stays happy. Or, Cell One will be rebranded to AT&T just like Cingular was. If that happens, some people will be happy and some mad. Prices will go up that is for sure. And no more unlimited talk plans unless you are grandfathered in. When I worked for AT&T, the least expensive phone at retail was normally $150 or so, but here at Cell One, it is $100. Cell One discounts their equipment much more than AT&T, but they have about 20 different rate plans. Personally, I have AT&T still and I think this merger/buy out is great. It means more co...

Because nobody has really discussed the topic at length. Everybody has just whined or cried about it but not discussed their feelings or opinions on the issue. Thats why.

Seeing how AT&T has two or three call centers in Oklahoma and in the metro area, I think it might be easier for the OKC call center to merge over. I worry for the Ohio reps though. I think as a whole, the buyout will be decent if not really good for the customers. From what I understand, AT&T has a customer base well over 60 million customers. With many of their rate plans include mobile to mobile, many people may not have to use the unlimited plans.

Another thing is the technology...Cellularone always seems to be behind, this will also allow for our customers to stay caught up with everyone else.

This is all just my opinion, but i do look forward to the change

I really hope for our customers that AT&T keeps the state unlim plan our allows those who have it to stay with it. It is one of the best plans you can get with any carrier. Couple that with a network like AT&T's? You got very satisfied customers. 🙂

Well, with Cellular One I have to say it seems like customers get a lot more help on a personal level. When a ticket is filed or something, theres usually something done about the issue, and a response/note on the acct within 48 hours. When I was with AT&T / Cingular, you put in a ticket and you didnt know what was going to happen.

I dont see how the network can improve much more with the acquisition. The two networks have been roaming partners for years. New towers arent going to magically spring up overnight. It may improve, but it will take time.
