Unlocked Curve

Hi,
My unlocked curve is coming today...Is there a tech person out there that can tell me the 1st thing I should do...put the SIM in and then? SHould I try to change the pin and number myself or call tech support? And then resend the service books? thanks so much for help

1st thing is to make sure the PIN is released from the company that is coming from.

2nd thing is to make sure you have a blackberry data package.

3rd thing is to put the SIM card in and let it register to EDGE. Make sure it says it in CAPS.

4th thing is to let it try to register on our network first.

4a. If it doesn't say EDGE in CAPS and you DO have the the blackberry package, then pull your battery out and try again. If it still doesn't, then you will need to call customer care to make sure the package is on and no data block, if that all checks out and still not working, transfer to us. We can then start checking out your PIN.

4b. If it does say EDGE, but you are not receiving any extra icons for web browsing or not able t...

This is great info...thank you so much. It is a brand new phone so I am hoping the PIN is released. I do I know if it is or is not? If it is not can I call Blackberry to do that? I have a data package and I was using a pearl...SO I am keeping my fingers crossed. If I have trouble who do I call??

Thank You so much it is on the way to me as we speak should have it in an hour or so.

Do I just call Customer Support or do i have to ask for tier2?

SO Far so good, except I can't get the PIN changed...is there something going on with RIM today? Thank you again...it all works great except for getting my email
