I know your a data tech.....Therefore...help me learn a few things here so I can do my job better....

1) What reason do customers get kicked off internet and what do I need to have the customer do to fix this?

2) Whats going on with the Blackberry? In our email we're getting "stock quotes" and other bizarre emails, more like spam. These email are addressed and sent to someone (not us) from addresses like "nextel.blackberry.net..tmo.blackberry.net example...Happening on quite a few of our blackberrys here is CS..Just curious

To answer your questions on this topic:

1) Where's your thread about the spam mail on the Blackberry?

2) As far as the customers getting kicked off the internet browser would depend upon the handset they're using, how much signal strength they have in whatever area they are accessing the data, and how do they have their web security settings aligned. Since the GPRS is still compared to dial-up to a certain extent, there's really no way to prevent from being knocked off the internet on a mobile device using that technology.

3) There is a KB article on the Blackberry issue regarding the spam messages that is listed on RIM's website.

Anymore questions, main?

Oh yeah, another little drawback. The company has made the decision (which was not carefully thought of and someone may have been possibly hitting the pipe) to not cover the KRZR for insurance for the time being. $400 phone + 1 clumsy end-user = mad-a** customer that could possibly cancel over this issue if it ever happens to them. Real talk.
