Web Sessions

unbreakable9

Oct 16, 2006, 11:54 PM
i have an unlocked rokr that i've been using with cell one for several months now and everything was working fine for the most part.

When I got the phone i copied my websessions from my v555 to the rokr and they worked perfectly.

Recently though it has stopped working and nothing in the phone has changed. I was curious if they did some sort of update or anything.

Does anyone know the info i need to enter into my phone or do i have to have the carrier give me the info. I'd assume if i do have to have them give me it i could say its a razr and everything should still work the same

Only thing I can say is that if your web sessions don't work now, don't look for the carrier to provide settings for a phone that has been untested in engineering. I work in Tier-2 Data group.

All you have to do is set the APN (Access Point Name) in the settings of the phone. The APN used by handsets on Cellular One's network is "cellular1wap". No username or password is required. This is the only setting that a Cellular One subscriber needs to modify to access the web from a handset. You will find it difficult to acquire support for phones not offered by Cellular One, like the previous user mentioned. I highly recommend purchasing a Signalink unlimited data package for $15.99/mo.

Correction, unlimited data by itself from handsets is $15/month.
