ATT agreed to sale Dobson Markets..OKCRSA5, Kentucky RSA 6 & 8 :cry:

Dobson Communications Announces Justice Department Clearance of the Merger With AT&T Inc.
OKLAHOMA CITY, Oct. 30, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- The U.S. Department of Justice today cleared the proposed merger (the "Merger") of Dobson Communications Corporation (the "Company") (Nasdaq😁CEL) and AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T), allowing the merger to proceed while requiring that AT&T divest Dobson's operations in three rural service areas -- one in Oklahoma and two in Kentucky -- and sell the Cellular One brand name that the Company currently owns. The rural service areas include Oklahoma rural service area (RSA) -5, an area outside of Oklahoma City; and two areas outside of Lexington, KY, Kentucky RSAs 6 and 8. what this means for a Cellular One customer in Kentucky that possibly might be in the Lexington Market? Does this mean, you can change your plan to ATT sooner or what?Any info appreciated.

I "think" what its saying is that AT&T cant have the KY and OK markets it has listed above. They will have to sell them off or something.

What does that mean for me? Would my contract be voided and would I be free to choose whatever service provider that I wanted? Sorry about all the questions. Im just kinda confused.

we really dont have any more info other than they have to sell it off per the fcc. once we get more info we will be sure to post it so that we can get this cleared up.
