The USB connect card with Cricket is AMAZING! 😉
We started off a lil rough, but after the first 5 hours, things picked up and my internet works just as good as it did with Charter cable! I LOVE THIS BROADBAND! 😁

Just as good as a hardwired broadband connection... 😳

Tell Charter to kick it into high gear! Their wires should not be beaten by pre-paid airwaves! 😲

1) I'm shocked you didn't say anything sarcastic! 😉 (I'm surprised) 😁 lol
2) ............(refer back to #1)
3) You're RIGHT! It is, just as good as Charter's internet service. I've been considering purchasing this device, and I'm glad I did! I got it @ a great price.. $50 w/ a $50 mail in rebate! It doesn't get any better than this! 😲
4) It matches my laptop. It looks as if they were purchased together! 😎 HP Rocks! 😎
5) 👀 Still shocked you didn't say anything sarcastic! 👀

Wow that is awesome that you found internet as fast as your old dial up! Is Cricket still advertising 400-600kbps? While all the MAJOR carriers are at 1.5 mbps. By the end of the year VZ and ATT will be at least 7.2 mbps! ATT leaked that they will be 14.4 mbps in a lot of spots. But dial up works. and heck it saves you $20 a month. That is awesome that you are so frugal! I am impressed! When Cricket finally lets Metro buy them, then maybe they will matter in the wireless world but until then...T-Mobile will keep trying to steal their customers and Verizon and ATT will continue to think they went under years ago.

They un-throttled their network back in Feb (I think all markets, if not then most markets). Tho they are still advertising up to 700kbps, on average in my market I get right around 1.5mbps, and up to 2 sometimes. Can't beat that, esp on 5gig for $40 or 10gig (soon to be 7.5gig) for $60, and with no contract and free card after rebate.

If Metro and Cricket merge, it won't effect the BB cards right now as Metro doesn't even use 3G. They'll go LTE, but when is the question. Tho that merger will make a co of about 13 million customers and will make some heads turn.

T-mobile may be trying to steal from cricket, but its not working very well. Take a look at Tmobile subscriber numbers in the markets that cricket launched last year, they got ...

YES! Cricket's broadband service is amazing! It works just as good or even better than Charter Broadband services. I'm just curious how cricket can offer 3g broadband service unlimited for $40/mo, while other companies charge well over that for plans with data caps. I work for at&t and their plans are aweful. I come to believe it's because of GREED! I'd bet a billion dollars that at&t's broadband service is no different or better than cricket's! At&t & other companies rest on their name to increase the price customer's pay! There's no other explanation for this other than these companies are greedy and want to ...

Wow I would hate to have you help me with my ATT service. Do you know anything about Cricket? Let's start with the speeds.

Cricket 3G 1.5 mbps MAXIMUM
AT&T 3G = 4 mbps PEAK

Cricket is not available everwhere! AT&T's Edge has the same speeds as Cricket's 3G and it is available EVERYWHERE. AT$T also has company owned call centers and 24 hour tech support. Have you ever tried to get help with your Cricket equipment? Do you know the cost of building and maintaining a network as large as AT&T and Verizon?!

They are also updating to their 4G. Can you say 14.4 mbps!!! Where is Cricket going to be then? You should do some research and find out how many people exceed the 5 gb limit. Wow do you know anyting about the wireless i...

WTF? I see someone is angry! You read right! Who cares about the "industry". The industry can lie! I see you're just a fan boy who will believe anything. The fact of the matter is... At&t's service isn't any better than anyone else's. You're paying for the AT&T name, not the service! Oh, and you wouldn't want me as your care agent because I'd curse your dumb as$ out! 😉

i like the way you use the wink face emoticon 🤣

but anyway, Cricket's broadband is limited to 5gb, as are other carriers. you are right, Cricket is a better value. customers with the "major" carriers are paying for the name, imo.

Yes you have to at least get service in a cricket area for it to work at all. There is a cab to cricket Broadband (used to work for them) when you hit your cap they slow down your speed by at least 75% and if you continue to use it they will charge you. I have seen $200 Internet phone bills for Broadband serv. All companies say virtually

My usage history:

June, 2010 7.075 GB
July, 2010 4.012 GB
August, 2010 3.651 GB
September, 2010 0.603 GB
I think cricket is the best! My speeds are fierce! I've never seen speeds reduced because I've used too much data! That's a lie made up by at&t fanboys! I agree cricket isn't nationwide, but who cares? I've only got one a$$ and can only surf in one city @ a time. My current location provides 3g speeds and like I stated in the original post... I DIDN'T THINK I'D LIKE IT, BUT CRICKET BROADBAND IS THE BEST! Gotta love a company who isn't trying to screw their customer out of their hard earned money so they can appease shareholders! 😉

No that is a quote from their commercials. They don't always do it but I know plenty of people who have the opposite experience. People tend to spread the band and expect perfection when it is not received. Thats the reason any carrier gets "a bad reputation"

Cricket is the best are you joking? You talk about them not screw customers, when you look at their bills and they always have extra random fees on them. Their speed is nothing compared when someone can get with sprint,Verizon, and Tmobile. Well i think everyone cares about nationwide coverage, i dont want to have to pay extra just cause i go across the country to visit family.

But in all seriousness, if you don't travel, and you just make calls and send and receive messages, and are just a casual data user, and you don't see yourself having issues with your phone, and you can pay your bill on time anytime with nothing to stop you from making that payment...

Maybe CricKet might not be so bad...

Cricket does not charge any extra fees than anyone else. You have a fcc fee that is mandated by the FEDERAL goverment, local surcharged based on the city and state you live in, and local sales taxes. You are not charged for any overage on the line, the speed is simply slowed down. I wish eveyone on this site would learn the facts before they ran their mouth about something they dont seem to know anything about. Every carrier no matter who they are have a cap on their service, that is mandated in the fair use act implimented by the goverment.

WIth the exception of income tax, the federal goverment cannot force anyone to charge customers something. It's in the Constitution.

The State, who can obligate companies to charge their customers, obligate them to charge taxes. Surcharges are not taxes directly from the state; if they were, they'd be taxes.

Cell phone companies have caps in their service for two reasons:

1. Mo' money.

2. In order to protect their network.

They don't do so because the government says so. The limits some place on services are explained as such, and such they are; if the companies could use the Big Bad Government as an excuse, they'd use it in a heartbeat.

As a Sprint rep, I know that we do not in any way cap internet that we claim is unlimit...
