Before You Upgrade from a Messager II to a Blackberry or Android, READ THIS.
Do you use the email software built into the Messager II? Then spare yourself a whole lot of headaches by DELETING all of those accounts from your old phone before you activate the new phone.
Why? Because Cricket sends data SMS messages to your Messager II that are related to your the mail functions on that phone. And guess what? When you switch over to the new phone, without deleting those accounts from your old phone? You will keep getting those messages - as often as every 30 minutes or so. And they will look like this:
//BREW:0104F4BC:OZMAIL CI=BBC0DD8E2BAD6901A537BCFCFE93BD9D MC=2
And they won't stop.
And you will call technical support, and Rajiv AKA Harry will tell you that you can send a text to 5555 to stop promotional texts. And as many times as you tell him you KNOW that and that this is not about promotional offers but about SMS-based data intended for your old phone that you aren't using anymore, he will continue to read from his plastic laminated card of pre-programmed answers until you scream and give up.
So spare yourself the hassle. BEFORE you activate your new smartphone, DELETE all of your email accounts from your old Messager II.
Just do. I wish I had had someone tell me this before I switched over.
