Pic Texting Problem Please Help!!

by scd87    Oct 9, 2009, 5:41 PM

Okay, I’m about at my wits end with this problem. I recently bought a Motorola Hint, I’ve had the phone before, but I dropped it and it wouldn’t charge after that. So I bought an Evoke (I really wanted to see what it was like) and it’s an okay phone, never had any problems with it. But I paid a lot of money for that phone, and it can’t send or receive picture texts, you have to do it through e-mail or Picasa and I got tired of that. So I bought the Hint again, and now I’m having problems sending and receiving picture texts. It will sit there saying “Connecting…”, and do nothing, then it will say the message failed. At first when I would check the message details, it would just tell me it failed. Now I’m getting a error message in the message details that says “National Access Coverage Not Available.” I have no clue what this means. Now I’ve called Cricket over 8 or 9 times now and all they’ve done is refresh my account and/or have me reprogram the phone, with no results. I’ve even went into one of their Corp. stores and the guy reprogrammed the phone like 10 times and actually handed me the phone back and gave up! The woman working there said that the network here (I’m in Dayton OH btw) could be having technical issues because they’ve been having problems with their computers. Anyways, so yesterday I decided to see if the new Hint was defective and I paid $15 bucks and transferred my number/account to the old broke Hint to see if it would send the picture texts, and it wouldn’t either, it was doing the same exact same thing my new Hint is doing. Before the old Hint was broke I never had problems with picture messaging at all. So today I spent another $15 bucks transferring my number/account back to my new Hint lol, I know it’s ridiculous but atleast I know I wasn’t sold a defective phone. I’ve also e-mailed Cricket through their website today about this on-going problem and I have yet to get a response. The last rep I talked to said that the network could be down but if that was the case he said Cricket would notify their customers about the certain features that wouldn’t be working. But how can two phones be defective? There’s no way because I know my old Hint could picture text and that would be a hellava coincidence if both phones were messed up at the exact same time and way. I also decided to Google ‘National Access Coverage Not Available’ and this error message seems to be a Verizon wireless problem, there were no results for Cricket having this error message, just Verizon. I tried to tell the last rep about the error message I’m getting now but he didn’t address it really. I looked at the answers for this problem with the Verizon phones and they were saying when they transferred their account to a new phone this problem would come up and they couldn’t send or receive picture texts either and the solution ended up being that something was either taken off of their account or wasn’t added, and I’m wondering if that might be the problem I’m having. Also on my account summary on the Cricket website it still says that Cricket charges an extra $15 dollars a month for when you have an Evoke, which I don’t have the Evoke anymore obviously lol. I don’t know if that has anything to do with this problem or not, but it’s just another thing. Plus when I had my account originally transferred from the Evoke to the new Hint, I checked my account and it still said I had an Evoke and after I called Cricket either the 1st or 2nd time and the lady took the serial number or whatever from the phone, then my account showed I had a Hint. Has anybody at all had a problem like this?? Has anybody gotten the error message saying ‘Nation Access Coverage Not Available’? Does anybody know what that message means? Does anybody know how to fix this??? Obviously Cricket doesn’t know….Any and all help is GREATLY appreciated!!! Thanks!!!
