Moto RAZR, problem with coverage

Okay, so starting yesterday, all of a sudden, I was trying to make calls and getting this message "This phone is not authorized for use at this time. Please call customer service"

Ended up calling technical support, who reset the features on my phone, then it worked again. But, now, in the area where 1X coverage is usually shown, I have this little symbol that says 3G. Does anyone know what this means? Has anyone else seen this problem?

BTW, I have an old generation MOTO RAZR

I don't have Cricket but I can tell you what 3G means. 3G stands for third generation. 3G technology allows the user to download things off of the internet faster than with an EDGE connection.

Well since Cricket is a CDMA company, it's 3G would not be the same as AT&T's. It uses EV-DO for 3G. AT&T and T-Mobile use WCDMA/HSDPA/HSUPA.

Your phones radio is not reading to cricKet's network properly, or cricKet just added their third generation to your wireless market. Faster data speed, if your phone or network allows.
