I had an unfortunate year that reflected poorly on my credit rating. I also had an account with Verizon and wanted to upgrade my plan to avoid the $100+ a month in overages they were charging me. Long story short, this could not be done without signing on for another contract. No one likes contracts but we accept them in exchange for seriously subsidized (or free) phones. Fair enough. I left them, and their poor coverage (NW Portland) and have been with cricket for 5 months and couldn't be happier. OK, I could. I tried to switch to Cingular but they wanted a $900 deposit. But cricket is not bad, especially for those of us on the financial mend. My bill is always $45. My calls always get through.
Anyway, you're not going to win any customers here putting people down, simply put.
