I have had this new cricket service since December of 06 here in Portland and I have not had any significant issues (but I do realize they are a newer service in the area)

What I do not miss from my sprint and verizon service is my $150-$200 phone bills(I even got one that was $800 oops--"billing error" they said).

I also get better service when compared to my old sprint service-- I had a Katana phone-- and I dropped calls all of the time with sprint.

I pay $50 per month with cricket and this covers me for my long distance to my mom in Texas and my friends in Florida/California --plus all I can text and picture message-- (Grandma wants pics of the grandkids)--
I have even used my phone when I traveled to Denver to visit my family there and it worked fine.

I even got rid of my home phone because I no longer need it with unlimited minutes.

The one time that I called the customer service number-- I did get help--but I had to navigate through the "push 3 for this and push 4 for that maze"--(same thing I had to do with my other providers).
When I went into the store-- the customer service was pretty good.

Overall I am happy with my cricket service and I have suggested it to many of my friends and family -- they all agree it is the best deal in town --hands down.
