Ok, so I have travel time activated on my phone. todayand yesterday I went outside the Cricket Home coverage Area, and Started to roam.

I went to make a phone call by dialing the AWAY 2929. But i t re-routed me to Verizon wireless Roaming, and asked for a credit card.

Well when i got back to Denver, I called cricket and asked them what is the problem. I had funds in my flex bucket, and had already did the *228. But he said i have to do it before i leave the service area? What? why? it is already programmed?
So i did, and today same problem!

Does anyone have any ideas?

That would be because Cricket doenst have a Travel time(roaming) agreement for the Verizon network. Whenever you get that message you can try traveling a couple miles to see if you can hop onto a network they have a agreement with.

If you are in a area when you know only Verizon services then you will be out of luck and may try driving to the top of the closest mountain to see if you can reach a partnered network.

Besides that I dont have any better sugestion.

Cricket ONLY roams off of Vzw that is who there travel time is offered through, They also have an MMS agreement with them so you are wrong on both subjects. Please verify your info. prior to posting.

For the OP you may go to www.mycricket.com select travel time and it will explain how to set it up. Good luck

Cricket is having a problem with Verizon and roaming. I have talked to them for the last 2 weeks and no time frame if and when it will be settled. Mine quit working 2 weeks ago and it is programmed right. Verizon is charging 2.99 a minute for cricket roaming. And my info. is correct.
