Is it possible to use a Verizon, Alltel or sprint phone for a cricket account? My friends phone is all screwed up and I have an Alltel phone Im not using. If I call in and give them the ESN, will they know its not a cricket phone?

It is possible, i do not know if cricket allows it. U.S. Cellular would not know if you called in to do an esn change, i do not know how cricket systems work.

I see people with Verizon and Alltels all the time on Cricket. It could be more difficult to get a Sprint phone as each phone has a unique MSL....
Whatever phone you use, you'd have to hack into the phone and change the MSL to 333333 (This is what cricket uses). If the MSL is anything else, *228 will not be able to program the phone and give you a Cricket PRL.
