i found out that cricket's online chat is for assisting new customers, and new activations only, but that is not what angers me.
what makes me angry is how rude the online chat reps are. i can understand that they cannot assist current customers, but there is no need to be rude about it.
i broke my phone, and i went online to look at their new phones, and the chat box pops up, and it asks if i need help shopping. i clicked yes, and the drop down menu had the option for purchasing question. since i had purchasing questions, i chose that.
the rep answered none of my questions, just told me to go to the store, and then he ended the chat, but not before telling me that he did not design the website, and that the online prices are for... (continues)
That sucks to hear. Cricket has problems with their call centers and cs reps. At least they were right about one thing, going to a store is the best thing with Cricket. Cricket only offers the discount prices to new customers because they subsidize the cost to gain the customers and it takes a few months to recoup that costs. They cant really afford to do it more than once per customer. You could act as a new customer to get the deals again, but you would lose your current phone number. Best bet is probably to check out a corporately owned store!
