PDA-like phone or Google Talk/Gmail support

My Wife's phone is heading south. The call, back, and left buttons don't work. She can still dial from her address book, but what a pain as if it is a new number she has to add it first.

Anyway, I've gotten used to my crackberry 8830 on VZN (company cell). Unlimited data, gmail, Google Talk, etc. Does Cricket have anything like this that I can get my Wife?

Can anyone with web service confirm if these work? Specifically, I'd like to see if she can access gmail and Google Talk. Cricket TXT/SMS is so stinking slow and unreliable. You never know ...

I'd recommend staying with the branded (cricKet) handset. You never know, or can trust a flashed handset.
