Poor signal strengh, poor network in the area, don't update their towers on a constant basis, like other carriers, and lack funds to invest in a bigger network. cricKet caters to areas, and major cities.

I can not believe that even Sprint turned you down you must have a really really bad credit rating. Most Cricket phones sound like you smashed them against a rock and then tried calling from underwater... really quality stuff your missing trust me on that ;)

Cricket doesn't have the funds like Sprint and any other carrier does but it's better than metro PCS. But yea...lack of towers. and Cricket doesn't care cause there no contracts.

Where are you located? I'm in Portland (Oregon), and my Cricket stuff works perfectly. I think a lot of complaints are phone dependent. I just got a Lingo, and the reception isn't as good as the RAZR I had before but I can still hear people just fine, and they can hear me.
