Expanded coverage????

Is there any chance USCC will ever come out with a "semi national" plan like Alltel's National Freedom or Verizon's Americas Choice (or most other carriers for that matter have?) One where you get nights and weekends nationwide? One where you can add a share talk line nationwide? One that has free mobil to mobil minutes? I am really tempted to switch to Alltel, however USCC's reception kicks butt over everyone else's and that is a major concern also. (in Green County WI alone the tower count is as follows: USCC 9, Alltel 3, Sprint 2, Nextel 1) Just wish they would get in the game a little more and come up with roaming partners to provide a better plan than just the regional ones.

Hate to break it to you, but it's not gonna happen. we'd much rather provide good coverage in a large regional area than just cover highways, etc. so we will continue to offer SpanAmerica plans, just not with the features you're looking for. 😛

Pass the word along to them to cover the river valleys a bit better here in eastern Iowa, theres a few major state roadways that have no service in both Olin and Oxford Junction, also Wyoming.

Olin has been a sore spot for USCC for a while now, don't know what their plans are for fixing it at the moment. Supprisingly the only company to get any sort of signal in Olin is I-Wireless.

Actualy since I'm at the phone office quite a bit here and know quite a bit about them I can tell ya it's not to much of a surprise for I-Wireless to get service here. They have a tower on a hill outside of town about a mile away, the nearest USC tower is either in Center Junction about 8 miles to our north which lies over the ridge and blocks the river valley into Olin or in Stanwood about 8 miles to our south which is also on the opposite side of the ride of the river valley.

Another thing...you aren't completly correct on the remark that only I-Wireless gets service here, Verizon gets great service here, not quite full but most of the time 3 bars, before we got my mom's phone reprogramed her phone would be using a verizon tower to get...

Same deal here in Brodhead. Southern WI. USCC has a tower in every town around us, but keep skipping us for some reason. Nearest tower is 6 miles away to the east near Orfordville. Can use phone just fine it you go outside, stand in the front yard and touch your left elbow while holding phone 5' above your head. I have complained about the service many times, a lot of other people have too, but they don't do anything about it. My neighbor is also my alderman, he said the city has approached USCC in the past about improving service but no luck yet. Apparently they are satisfied with what signal there is. No incentive to build us a tower, nobody else has one either, USCC is the only choice here. 👿
